Journal of Applied Leadership and Management

The Journal of Applied Leadership & Management is an Open Access Journal that publishes study reports as well as essays in the area of leadership and general management. All reports, articles and book reviews need to have a focus on the application of leadership behavior and management tools in an organizational or entrepreneurial context. The target audiences of the journal are non-scientists (managers) with an intention to develop and grow their scientifically based leadership and management know-how. Therefore, all journal documents need to provide key learning points in order to guide practical leadership and management behavior.

Also the authors of the journal should not only be recruited from the scientific community. A major part of the journal content will be provided by managers who did participate in part-time business study programs and who want to present the results of their empirically based master thesis projects to their peers. Therefore, depending on their overall quality, also studies with a limited empirical basis will be presented.

Authors do not receive any payment, but will keep all publishing rights for their articles. Once an author has released his article for the journal, the journal has all rights to publish and distribute the article in any form.

The major language of the journal is English, but there will also be some articles in German to address a wider audience.

The Journal of Applied Leadership & Management will be published once a year in April. The first issue will be released in April 2012.
