Best Practices

ISSN Registration

Journals that intend to be referenced and archived generally do obtain an ISSN. However, registration — obtaininng a free International Standard Serial Number (ISSN) — is not required. To find your national ISSN registration site, click here.

Editorial Boards

Assembling an editorial board can be helpful both in guiding the review process and soliciting the best articles from colleagues. We recommend you read through the Committee on Publication Ethic’s (COPE) Guide for Publishers and their other resources.

DOI Registrations

Digital Object Identifiers (DOI) are globally unique identifiers for digital objects. They exist in the form of a persistant link to an object and are useful for identification and citation. For additional information, please read through the PKP Wiki page, "DOI Plugins Documentation."
