Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Submission Requirements

Select one of the following three categories for submission through the following tempate:

JCAE categories are focused on fostering structure and confidence in student academic works to create a more robust, information secure society tomorrow. The Journal invites contributions under these three primary categories: Secondary Research, Case Studies, and Literature Reviews.

Secondary Research: This section aims to drill down into a single problem area specifically related to data loss to help others understand and avoid similar circumstances.

Case Studies: This category focuses on looking at an existing data breach through a specific lens to help existing and new business leaders avoid the pitfalls of yesterday.

Literature Reviews: This category supports a broader understanding of topics business may want to invest in, integrate, partner with, include as federated services, or technologically infuse into their strategy.

Author Guidelines

Authors must submit manuscripts in MS Word (.doc or .docx) format to TBD. All manuscripts must adhere to the following:

1) Length of the paper: Page restrictions listed below include references and appendices

  • Secondary Research: 6-8 pages
  • Case Studies: 6-8 pages
  • Literature Reviews: 8-10 pages

2)  Proper sectioning of manuscript.

  • Authors can section manuscript as desired, but must contain an abstract, introduction, conclusion, and executive summary.
  • The conclusion section should clearly highlight the implications or recommendations of the paper both from a research and industry perspective.
  • The executive summary should be 1 page, clearly present the problem and recommendations for a practitioner of two market segments.

 3) Body of the Paper: The general text of the paper, excluding headings and title, should be written with following format specifications:

  • Font: Times New Roman
  • Font Size: 12, regular
  • Line spacing: 1.5-point line spaced
  • Alignment: left
  • Margins (inches): Left: 1; Right: 1; Top: 1; Bottom: 1

4)  Figures and Tables: These should be properly numbered.

  • Figure labels at bottom of figure.
  • Table labels at top of table.

 5) Reference Style: Please use American Psychological Association (APA) format for the paper and references.

 6) Page Numbers: Please enter page number as footer for each page.

  • Page numbers should be at the bottom right of the page
  • Page numbers should follow the same font style and size as text.

Privacy Statement

All submission remain anonymous and confidential until after review, at which point the author is contacted and, if accepted and agreed, will publish the accepted work with name, occupation & location, and email address.
